Pakistanian cricket player was banned for five years
Pakistanian cricket player Khalid Latif was sentenced to five years after the Pakistan Cricket Board (TBB) tribunal acknowledged him as guilty of settled matches.
The BCN conducted a long investigation into meetings from the domestic championship. In Pakistan, Cricket is Sports No. 1 and the national team is a former World Champion.
31-year-old Latif has played 18 international meetings in the one-day format and 20-20 format. He was fined with 1 million Pakistani rupees, which is about 7000 USD.
His colleague from Islamabad United, Sharjel Kahn, received the same penalty a month ago. The accusations are for adjusting a certain period of the match, which is very difficult to ascertain.
Several other players were punished or questioned about the case. The British National Crime Agency provided the initial evidence for the investigation.
